Lithobates catesbeianus

American Bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus) is a very large true frog with a broad head and a deep male call that inspired its common name. Identification should combine body shape, skin texture, colour pattern, toe structure and locality because related frogs can be extremely similar. Claims are limited to the species accounts opened for this batch, and field identification should remain cautious when measurements or clear photographs are unavailable (Wikipedia, general species account).

The species is native to eastern North America, uses large permanent waters and many artificial water bodies, and now occurs beyond its native range through introductions. Adults and tadpoles depend on aquatic habitats, although the opened account does not provide enough Korea-specific biological detail for a viewing recommendation. The Korean vertebrate catalogue records the American Bullfrog in South Korea, where it is treated as introduced (Wikipedia, general species account; Wildlife of Korea occurrence records).
